Karl Lagerfeld Sequined Leggings: Yay or Nay?

The much anticipated, latest collection from Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel is definitely buzz worthy. But not exactly in a good way. The designer presented a couture show of sixties inspired ensembles, one of which is the Karl Lagerfeld sequined leggings. Now don’t get us wrong, we love the androgynous look of the whole collection (and I’m sure Madame Chanel would approve as well), but calling it affordable? We dare to disagree.

We don’t doubt that these pair of leggings maybe bordering on couture level, but Kaiser Karl quoting them as affordable (to stars, maybe) is a bit off. Sequined leggings are indeed a fashion must have for 2012, but you can easily get them at stores for less than half the price. Lusting for these leggings but have a commoner’s budget?
