Jessica Alba Graced Machete Screening in a Sequined Balmain Dress

Jessica Alba took a break from mommy duties and attended a screening of her latest flick Machete, at the Los Angeles’ Orpheum Theatre last August 25. She was bedecked in a winning Balmain piece, no less.

This little Balmain number is just the perfect dress for such an occasion. It’s an action flick but no leather for Ms. Alba here. Black and gold sequins in a zigzag pattern is what she went for. She also managed to hit the right notes with her choice of Christian Louboutin heels in black. It sure complemented her dress well.

I also like the fact that she kept everything else minimal. Her hair, her makeup, and except for some bangles, she wore no jewelry. Well done, Jessica!

I scoured my favorite online haunts carrying Balmain but was not very fortunate finding this interesting dress. I however, managed to find an equally interesting sequined number in this Alice & Olivia frock.

It doesn’t have the loud zigzag pattern but this sure dress has its charm of its own. And I bet, a lot less expensive than Jessica Alba’s Balmain.
