I confessed about my secret obsession of The City’s Olivia Palermo before. Now I am about to make another confession- I am not over that obsession!
I simply could not help myself but follow this supposedly real life Blair Waldorf. (There are rumors that Leighton Meister’s Blair Waldorf character in Gossip Girl was actually inspired by Olivia Palermo.)
Blair Waldorf or not, Olivia is one style star I take inspiration from. She just effortlessly puts pieces together designer or high-street and make it look seamlessly chic.
At the Institute of Civic leadesrhip benefit in NYC, she was vibrant in a white watercolor print blouse, white shorts, peach sandals and an unexpected light gold sequined sweater.
Olivia is rarely seen in pastels hence my delight when I saw her picture at the recently concluded event. Of course what I like about her look the most is the juxtaposing of sequins against watercolor pastels. She just does it so well.
Naturally this winner look merits a how-to portion as I’m sure a lot of you would want to get her look but for a fraction of the price.

Look pristine in the Tucker Camisole with watercolor print, $123 paired with classic white shorts by Hurley, $40. Add the star of the ensemble, the Haute Hippie Bowie sequined jacket, $696.50. The Jeffrey Campbell Take Draped wedges, $168 will complete your Olivia-inspired look and the Rebecca Minkoff Eyelet clutch, $365 is a sophisticated extra.
